2009 March 8/9

I recently started again blogging in Wordpress, but I feel like being in a cage. It doesn't compare to the feeling when editing in a wiki. So, that was one reason to install a wiki. I want to use this wiki as yet another place for a PLE (see Wikiversity:Personal learning environment). Who knows later I even transfer this somewhere else :-)

edit 2010-07-15: I noticed, I didn't mention one thing (which was important for me today): the versioning system - in the future one can easily go back and see when an event "happened".

What did I notice so far ?

  • you can spend much time:
    • e.g. setting up the wiki and browsing through the Mediawiki extensions (see Help:Mediawiki)
  • my server is slower in comparison with the Foundation's - and the ironic thing is: I even pay money for it :-)
