interesting: I got an ad in gmail for a fish + seafood restaurant

As Google claims: "This ad is based on emails from your mailbox. Visit Google’s Ads Preferences Manager to learn more, block specific advertisers, or opt out of personalized ads."

searching inbox tells me:

• most recent email containing fish: 2 days ago (title: "new paper on Adaptation Finance" from Climate-L mailing list)
• seafood: 1st May, notification of a guy following me on twitter

adding: (in the sense of the quote which goes like this: give a man not food, but a fishing rod, so it can catch himself fish in the future) to blog post

I wonder if that is really based only on emails ;-)
