    1. gnufm: is provided, but does not offer much
    2. librefm
    3. gnufm2
  3. add scrobbles
    1. e.g. over specific libre.fm scrobbler or
    2. importing from your last.fm account
  4. add playable tracks to your database

questions

  • how to upgrade in next version?
  • why is it not possible to tag more than artists? :-(
    • e.g. on last.fm also tracks can be tagged -> important because last.fm's system uses tags for directing better track playing -> if libre.fm works different perhaps not that important?

other useful info

  • don't forget to change the password for testuser after doing the tests for authentication, submission
    • also do not give your 2nd user the same email as testuser, since this will have side effects:
      • when you change password for one, both accounts' pwd changed
      • admin feature not available when the so-called-admin shares an email
  • also remove the install.php scripts
  • when you add an RSS feed in the options, you can access these in the journal
  • when you make yourself admin: you can edit artists + albums (Edit button becomes available)
  • a spammer registered after some hours, you might want to add a captcha in register.php
  • if the nixtape theme just shows blank pages:
    • make sure the dir templates_c is writable in dir: ../nixtape/themes/librefm/
    • e.g. chmod 777 nixtape/themes/librefm/templates_c
